Very sad, and it needs to be in this black and white for the harshness of it. It is so much worse for the older ones!! I have tried many times to snap a homeless person, but cannot get them looking away. I don't snap if they are aware of me because I don't want them to feel like I am making fun or riduculing them. It is hard to get a good shot without them seeing you.
Very eloquently expressed. I think of them mostly at night when I go to bed. There are times when I've had hard days and realize that at least I have a roof over my head. I am not out in the cold and therefore should be happy and grateful for what I do have rather than sad about what I don't have. Great post.
Simple but eloquent! I feel so frustrated at times that I cannot help more. I have family members who are stretched beyond their limit. So many Americans are just one pay check away from homelessness...
