Up the Mountain Weekend

We were up the mountain again last 4th of July weekend that is why I have no OWM post last weekend. And since we did not have any special activities this weekend... I decided to post our 4th of July weekend up the mountain.

We went camping...

While Hubby was down the river dredging... I walked up the dirt road to have a better view of Mt. Blue...

And yes, we went gold panning again and we did find gold.

Mt. Blue, Zen will like it much Ruthi :) I love your pictures most especially the fire, fire symbolizing passion and love in your 3rd anniversary. it's always nice to spend time outdoors with hubby.

PS.....would you be interested to do nature trip between LA and Las Vegas Ruthi, it may take you 1- 2 days of quick but wonderful detour, I can make one of you and your cousins. You can pass by Eastern Sierra and then Death Valley National Park between on your way to Las Vegas from Los Angeles. Of course, would want to meet you, if you could spend a day in San Diego, am sure Chay will join us so we have a mini-Salitype reunion of sort.

@Ebie... it was indeed so quiet up there... you can only hear the chirping of the birds and the sound of the gushing water in the canyon.

Hi Ruthi,
I think your photos are fabulous - have been having a bit of a stroll around your posts, getting acquainted. I'm not sure what part of the country you're photographing but it looks rural and lovely. My favorite in this series if the walk you took up the dirt road - I love the framing of the Mt with the trees, set off by the red gate. Very eye-catching!
