Windows and Doors

Doors and windows do have purpose. They are created for a reason.
@ the apple orchard
@ the church
@ the convent entrance
@ the bellfry
@ the altar
@ the lighthouse
@ the farm

“Our senses are indeed our doors and windows on this world, in a very real sense the key to the unlocking of meaning and the wellspring of creativity.” Jean Houston

You have chosen some unique windows and doors to share. I'll have to pay attention to these when we travel - I'm always aiming at the flowers and little else.
The convent entrance has a good deal of mystery surrounding it.
Love the convent and last one. All are really good. Great job!
My favorite is taken from inside the entrance....looking out! Magnificent! Great job meeting the challenge! You are a wonderful photographer!

Thank you for joining in on the photo challenge! We're glad to have you participate! I'm sorry that I am a bit tardy in making the rounds but my time has been very limited here lately with long hospital visits.

Your contributions have a wonderful artistic flair! The bold colors in the first one is particularly stunning. Love the red double doors! And I particularly like the various perspectives in the compositions, notably the belfry and lighthouse. Beautiful job!

There are some great doors and windows in your shots. Love the one of the church door shining.

Wonderful images Ruthi - I especially am drawn to the window looking out into the golden woods (the farm), also love the interior highlighting the church stained glass windows (the altar), it's always hard to get good photos in that type of situation.

Glad you've joined the 'challenge' and hope to see you next time.

I particularly love your image taken from inside the church - beautiful lighting - I can almost feel those old floor tiles!
Also the carved old wooden doors - wonderful patina.
Lovely to see you here!
Shane
